Link to westminsters website about upcoming events in the city. I mainly use it to see what movie premiers are coming up (ive been 3 inches away from Johnny depp ;))

It also has all the Christmas stuff on it now too.. worth a look every now and then.

Sorry... I kinda set up this community and then forgot about it...

Will try to play a more active role in the future.

Anyone got any feedback on what they want from this community?
I think we are probably going to need some more members too... which is never an easy task.

----------------

Let me introduce myself...
I'm originally from Sydney. Have dual citizenship - Aussie and British (thanks to my english parents). Been in the UK since June 2004. Currently have a pernament job working for corus international. Living and working in Birmingham at the moment. Have no idea how long I will stay in the UK for - depends on the job and still have loads more travel I want to do.

heya,

i thought it would be a good idea to join this community.. and stuff. anyway, is anyone able to tell me the overall visa process to gain a working holiday visa over in the UK? like what documentation to attach, the minimum amount of funds you require, fees, yadda yadda? the number of websites i've sifted through have confused me a great deal =\

Question to movers [Jun. 24th, 2005|10:18 pm]

Hi! This is a question to the Aussies living in the U.K. Are you staying or planning to come back? When you left Australia and moved over, did you go alone? Also, did you send all your things over or just go with a suitcase and start fresh?
I am looking into maybe a move for 6 months or a year to England.Who knows after that. My sister and husband live there, and I have cousins in Scotland (my father is Scottish). Im thinking that seeing I have access to a British passport, I may as well go for it and have some adventure.
Also, (man I do go on!) I work for myself and if I did the same over there, how does Tax work?
Cheers!
